Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) uses behavioural principles to develop a person-centred support plan.
A support plan is developed after a functional analysis of behaviours of concern is completed. This support plan is specifically developed for the individual's carers , and or parents, and or teaching staff. Training is then provided on how to effectively implement the agreed support plan strategies.
PBS aims to provide carers with the confidence to productively manage behaviours. PBS services can include consultations with learning support staff, to create measurable and realistic goals in individual learning plans.
